KUWAIT: The Director of NGOs and Charity societies at the Social Affairs and Labor Ministry, Nasser Al-Ayyar said that the sixth project to collect donations from NGOs comes in sequence with its previous five- year ventures. He said that the project guarantees NGOs the right to collect cash donations during the holy month of Ramadan only at their main premises, in addition to 40 other authorized committees that are branched out across other parts of Kuwait.

Al-Ammar said that warning letters have been issued to four charity establishments. Their licenses will be revoked if they do not comply with the ministry's decision about places where donations can be collected, reported Al-Jarida. He said that the said charity establishments had violated norms by operating without obtaining the ministry's license, in addition to opening more branches in some area.
