The new 720p HD, high-performance solution featuresan ultra-compact form factor. It incorporates two-element HD and reflowablewafer-level lenses and provides lower distortion, better resolution and higherimage quality while utilizing replicated lenses on glass wafers instead oftraditional plastic. This makes the Exiguus A15-B1 ideal for front-facing cameraapplications in smartphones, tablets, notebooks, gaming systems and otherportable devices. According to recent reports from InfoTrends, the percentage of all digitalcamera owners reporting the importance of HD capabilities almost doubled, from7.9% in 2009 to 15.1% in 2011. The Exiguus A15-B1 responds to this trend andoffers a 1/6-inch 1.26 megapixel, reflowable wafer-level camera solution with anactive-pixel array of 1296H x 976V. It incorporates a CMOS image sensor andembedded image processor as well as sophisticated functions such as autoexposure control, auto white balance, flicker avoidance, and defect correction.
