KUWAIT, Dec 5 (KUNA) -- The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) Wednesday announced signing of a contract with Kuwait Dynamics Limited for Contracting Company for rehabilitation of Kuwait National Museum.

NCCAL Assistant Secretary General for Artifact and Museum Affairs Ali Al-Youhah signed the contract for the council alongside the company's Chairman Mohammed Al-Hadbah.

An NCCAL release today said the company is to construct warehousing facilities, a laboratory, multi-storey parking, main entrances, and a library. This is in addition to rehabilitating two council buildings of the Islamic artifact sector.

The NCCAL official said the project comes in two phases.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Dynamics Limited for Contracting Company Engineering Manager Naguib Ekdawy reported work on this project is set to start next week, and noted the contract is effective from date of signing.

Ekdawy remarked the company would keep in mind the museum buildings and facilities' unique nature and the high value of the artifact while carrying on construction.

A fence would separate the work area from other facilities and buildings throughout the construction process, in coordination with museum authorities, he pointed out.

Kuwait Dynamics Limited for Contracting Company is a Kuwaiti Registered Limited Liability Company established in 1993. KDL is registered as a Project Management Company with the Kuwait Ministry of Planning, a grade one (international) Construction Company with the Kuwait Central Tenders Committee, and is ISO 9001 - 2000 certified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance of the United Kingdom.
