MANAMA: Zain Bahrain has announced the appointment of Nadia Aqeel to the role of director of legal, regulatory and compliance, effective July 16, 2020.

In her new capacity, Ms Aqeel will lead Zain Bahrain’s legal team, responsible also for compliance, corporate governance, regulatory affairs and other legal matters affecting the company.

She will report directly to the chief executive and will serve on the company’s management committee.

“I feel privileged to have been chosen for this key role and very much look forward to working closely with all stakeholders at Zain to make a positive contribution to the company,” Ms Aqeel.

With a degree in Law from the UK, Nadia is a regulatory and commercial lawyer with experience in the telecommunications sector, particularly in the field of competition law.
