Municipality of Abu Dhabi City kicks off Tawtheeq service through Service Centers

Abu Dhabi, Feb 27th, 2013 (WAM) -- The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has launched the initial phase of the services provided by the Tenancy Contracts Attestation Section (Tawtheeq), and selected 5 approved centers to run the service.

The move reflects the municipality?s attention to broaden its cooperation with service centers in the future to provide Tawtheeq service and cover a larger geographical of Abu Dhabi and suburban areas to avail this service to customers, obviating the need to reporting to municipal centers to complete the attestation process.

Ali Al Hashimi, Tawtheeq Project Manager, Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, said: " The project was initiated by signing Service Level Agreements with five centers to provide the service, which are Enjazat Services Center, which includes the service delivery locations at Khalidiya, Mussafah, Electra Street, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Infiniti Services Center at the Marina Mall & Al Muroor, and Muaamalat Center LLC; in addition to the service delivery locations at Khalidiya & Al Nahyan Camp; Easy Deal Center LLC at Al Najda Street behind the Suzuki Agency, and Tasaheel Center for Public Services LLC at the Ministry of Labour Building and Al Qurum Corniche.

"The centers affiliated to these companies will only provide the services pertinent to the initial phase, i.e. the property registration, where the Profile and Preferences Form (PPF) is filled, along with the required documents, besides completing the Property Registration Form for villas, buildings and villa complexes. All data will be stored in a CD handed over to the property owner so that the application is submitted in a smooth and handily manner to the customer service offices at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City. These centers also provide transactions clearance service from the Municipality on behalf of the property owners," he explained.

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has already fixed AED 30 as fees to be levied by these service centers via the printing offices in return for filling the Account Opening Application Form and saving the attachments. The Municipality has also set a fee of AED 10 for villa registration, AED 20 for building registration (apart from AED 10 per floor) and AED 100 for clearing the transaction.
