Sixteen Iranian MPs have called for severance of Iran's political and economic ties with Denmark in response to some anti-Islam material by certain Danish print media.
In a note to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which was read out at today's open session of Majlis, the parliamentarians called on the president to order severance of economic and political ties with Denmark in response to repeated disrespect for sanctities of Islam by Danish press.
Signatories to the note were MPs from Taft and Meybod, Jalal Yahyazadeh, from Kashan, Asghar Geranmayepour, from Birjand, Ali-Reza Ebadi, from Babol, Ali-Akbar Nasseri, from Isfahan, Mohammad-Taqi Rahbar, from Boyerahmad, Sattar Hedayatkhah, from Firouzabad, Yunes Moussavi Sarcheshmeh, from Yazd, Abbas Paknejad, from Ardestan, Mostafa Tabatabaienejad, from Mashhad, Javad Arianmanesh, Ali Asgari and Ali Sarafraz Yazdi, from Kazeroun, Shahin Mohammad Sadeqi, from Tehran Hossein Nejabad and Elyas Naderan, and from Shiraz, Hossein Zolanvar.
