RABAT, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- Moroccan Foreign Minister Al-Taieb Fassi Fihri said here Wednesday that Morocco was looking forward to the Arab economic and social development summit to be held in Kuwait on January 19-20, 2009.
Fihri told KUNA that Morocco was ready for the upcoming Arab event, adding a number of proposals by Morocco would be referred to the event.
The economic capabilities in the Arab world required more cooperation amongst Arab peers and Morocco is willing to bolster relations in all fields with any Arab state, Fihri.
Social development is also a key element for economic development, he affirmed.
Envoy of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Deputy Amiri Diwan Affairs Minister Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, delivered today written letter from His Highness the Amir inviting Moroccan King Mohammad VI to attend the summit.
The letter was received by Fihri. The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Morocco Salah Al-Buaijan.
