DOHA: Twenty officers from various department of the Ministry of Interior have participated in the "Crisis and Disaster Management Course for Silver and Bronze Leadership" held at the National Command Centre from November 15 to 26.

Major General Abdullah Yousuf Al Mal, Legal Adviser to H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of State for Interior Affairs, formally inaugurated the training course. The course was initiated by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the British National Police Improving Agency.

The participants attending are officers concerned with dealing of crises and disasters.

The course was aimed at improving the leadership and administrative skills of officers in the field of disaster and crisis management.

This would also train them on alerting with the challengers and specifying its dimensions, policies application and its follow up through conducting studies about various subjects including big disasters, assessment of its dangerousness, planning and leadership.

Brig Muhammed Hasan Yousul Al Sai, Director of Police Training Institute, Col Ibraheem Ali Samrah, Head of Police Sciences and Col Ali Abdullah Al Mansouri, Head of Administrative Affairs of Police Training Institute also graced the ceremony.
