Khind Solutions, a part of Khind Middle East a major electrical appliances and consumer electronics brand from Malaysia, has introduced a number of new energy-efficient high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) fans for residential, commercial and industrial facilities.

HVLS fan is a large ceiling fan that moves high volume of air at a low speed. The low speed delivers gentle breeze rather than disruptive wind, effectively circulate and distributes airflow over a large area, thereby minimizing the need for expensive complex ductwork.

Unlike, the traditional ceiling fans, just one HVLS fan is capable of covering an area as large as 22,000 sq ft and can replace as many as 20 to 35 traditional fans.

The company said it has a wide range of HVLS fans, which comes in various types, sizes and in innovative designs to maximize the energy savings, productivity and comfort.

Energy-saving HVLS fans are large ceiling fans ranging from 1.8 metres (6 ft) to 7.3 metres (24 ft) in diameter. They are the solution of choice in green buildings due to their energy efficiency and cost saving on cooling and heating systems, said Khind Solutions in a statement.

The global market for industrial fans is expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.5 per cent and is expected to reach $8.8 billion at the end of 2025, according to a report by QY Research.

Khind Solutions offers industry-leading and trend-setting HVLS fans invented and patented by MacroAir. The X Series top-of-the-line HVLS fans delivers massive airflow for all types and sizes of areas. Those HVLS fans save at least 30 percent on cooling by dropping the effective temperature 4-6 degree Celsius and saves at least 20 percent on heating, bringing down warm air down to the floor and running for as low as US1 per day.

According to an estimate, over half (64 per cent) of a facilitys total energy usage is from heating/cooling and lighting. Already high and rising energy cost is always a major concern for the facilities owners and renters.

Khind is going to introduce more energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly innovative products to our customers in the UAE and Middle East as it is pushing the boundary of sustainability through innovation, Adil Mistry, Group Chief Executive Officer, Khind Holdings Berhad, said.

The trend-setting X Series HVLS fans by MacroAir is one of many product ranges that we are bringing to the customers in the UAE and GCC. These products will reduce energy consumption and help businesses to reduce cost.

Due to high-temperature dominated climatic conditions in the Middle Eastern countries, installing a powerful HVLS fan in addition to the air-conditions will keep industrial facilities, factories, warehouses, indoor play areas, open-air restaurants, entertainment centers and other public facilities colder," he stated.

"Environmentally-conscious consumers are looking at a better cooling option than air-conditioner that consumes high electricity. We, therefore see a strong growth potential in the market for HVLS fans, he added.

HVLS fans with diameter ranging from 6 ft to 24 ft, run at speed range of 140 - 64 RPM, Comprise a dual functionality to supply or exhaust the high volume of air the can move. Anodized blades to prevent them from corrosion, they are very effective. The standard drop of mounting the HVLS fans is about 3 ft from the ceiling since these huge fans require ample space above them to transfer the air to ground and function properly.

HVLS fans are used to cool people and animals in the summer, reducing the perceived temperature by up to 6C (10F), which can reduce air-conditioning consumption by at least 30 percent and in some cases, eliminates the need for air-conditioning especially during the winter season.

Designed and tested to perform longer than any HVLS fans in the market, the MacroAir industrial ceiling fans enjoy a 15 years a warranty with zero maintenance no oil, no gears, no friction and no noise thanks to its gearless direct-drive motor. These HVLS fans are easily controlled through a touchscreen controller.
