Pilot error was the probable cause of the May 12th Afriqiyah Airways Airbus A330 crash in Tripoli that killed 103 passengers and crew, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday (June 14th), citing a source close to the investigation.
The pilots reportedly failed to follow basic safety procedures for landing. The findings have prompted Airbus to accelerate work on developing automated ground-collision avoidance systems.
