GCG adopts environmentally friendly solution

Abu Dhabi Gulf Commercial Group (GCG) has adopted a new green solution from one of Japan’s leading manufacturing companies.

Kyocera Corporation’s Managed Document Services (MDS), which aims to reduce printing costs and cut carbon emissions, is now available to businesses across the UAE.

Hakam Abu Rishesh, General Manager of GCG, said: “As part of our firm commitment to provide our clients throughout the UAE with green printing solutions, GCG has adopted Kyocera’s new green document management solutions, which will contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint by cutting carbon emissions, using long life components, saving energy and cutting the costs of conventional printing by up to 40 per cent of the existing total printing costs at the same time, not to mention their role in improving the efficiency of work processes in the UAE business sector.”

GCG was established in 1982 and says it caters for over 3,000 customers in the UAE through its network of service centres.

Takuya Marubayashi, General Manager of Kyocera Mita Middle East, said: “Kyocera and its main UAE partner, GCG, work together towards a sustainable future to make sure the world continues to be a place we can all live in.

“Kyocera Mita has been an environmentally conscious company ever since we introduced our Ecosys concept in 1992.”

Sho Taniguchi, General Manager of Kyocera’s International Sales and Solutions Division, added: “Many companies do not know how many printing devices they have or how much they are spending on them. The first step is for companies to acknowledge their printing costs and then they have to look at ways of optimising the printing process.”
