KUWAIT CITY - The Ministry of Communications (MoC) will install telephone network to new residential areas and rehabilitate the existing telephone system for one year. The project will be implemented by three local companies, reports Al- Seyassah Daily.
This is in line with the Ministry 's plan to develop the communications sector by providing telephone service through light fiber cables for subscribers in Al-Salam, Al- Shuhada, Hateen, Al-Zahra, Saad Al-Abdullah, Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Quraiwan, Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Sabah Al-Nasser, Ishbiliya and West Sulaibikhat areas, in addition to services like high speed video Internet connection, the daily explained.
Moreover, the ministry has recently developed the international switchboard system to set off major changes in Internet services.
whereas alternative facilities have been procured through Saudi Arabia, in case of disconnection at the marine cable.
