KUWAIT: The health ministry is investigating a case of air filters supplied to hospitals that were found to be made for chicken coops. Sources revealed that the ministry bought the filters some time ago and were stored in its warehouse for distribution to medical centers, adding that the equipment is valued at KD 250,000.

The sources said the filters were to purify air in hospital wards, public and private rooms and ICUs. The filters were unfit for human use and were not yet installed.
