MUSCAT -- Yoshinori Komamura, Komatsu Executive Vice-President and President, Construction and Mining Equipment (Marketing Division) heaped high praise on Saud Bahwan Group for making strategic investments to propel the brand to market leadership status in Oman. Komamura who was here on an official visit rated the Komatsu facilities in Oman "amongst the best in the world."
Komamura's visit reflects the importance of the Oman market. "It's amazing to see the spectacular growth and infrastructure development that Oman has achieved over the years under the wise and able leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. I am delighted to see Komatsu playing a humble role in several development projects," he remarked.
"We have been fortunate to have a partner like Saud Bahwan Group in Oman," he said. "I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Shaikh Mohammed Saud Bahwan, Chairman, Saud Bahwan Group for investing in operations like the integrated facility at Ghala. I would rate this hi-tech facility amongst the best of its kind in the world. I'm deeply impressed," he added.
Spread over an area of 22,000 sq mts, this is one of the largest facilities for construction equipment sales, parts and service in the entire region, integrating modern workshop tools and service of highly qualified trained engineers. This facility offers computerised service operations, dedicated environment for unit repairs and state-of-the-art overhead crane. The facility reflects Saud Bahwan Group's commitment to customer satisfaction, which has led to Komatsu's dominant position in the country.
Later Komamura also visited the Komatsu pre-delivery inspection centre. Spread over 38,000 sq mt, the facility is fully equipped to carry out assembly and pre-delivery services. Senior Saud Bahwan Group officials joined Komamura during his visit to the centre.
Komamura held wide-ranging discussions with Shaikh Mohammed Saud Bahwan. Applauding the Saud Bahwan Group's focus on customer care, he said, "It is heartening to see the excellent support delivered to Komatsu customers in the country. The outstanding quality of Komatsu products is backed by prompt and courteous after sales service in Oman. I spoke to some of our corporate customers in the country, and the feedback has been very encouraging. I am impressed by the excellent rapport that Saud Bahwan Group has established with customers. And this, I believe, is the real secret behind Komatsu's success in Oman. The Saud Bahwan Group, I would say, is a role model for distributors across the region."
