The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) on Monday announced that 250 new companies, including Jordanian companies, joined the centre's platform in 2021.

The Jordanian companies have activities in various fields, notably in the banking, IT, hospitality and public service sectors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Jordan ranks second, after Qatar, in the number of companies working under the QFC's laws. Welcoming the new partners, CEO of QFC Yousef Jaidah highlighted the new companies' role in economic diversification. The QFC allows transferring all profits abroad without imposing taxes.
