Amman - Jordan Customs Department (JCD) Director General Ghaleb Sarayreh on Saturday discussed with a delegation representing The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the establishment of a regional transit center in Jordan.
During the meeting, Sarayreh reviewed accomplishments that have been achieved by the JCD and stressed the need to further develop the department to better serve the country and its citizens and enhance the JCD's position at the international level.
The World Customs Organization and UNCTAD welcomed the establishment of the transit center in the Kingdom and voiced their readiness to continue cooperation and coordination with Jordan to set up this center.
