BAGHDAD: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zebari signed a partnership agreement with the European Union in Bruxelles, according to a statement today.

The agreement will be the base for future relationship with Europe that will cover all spheres.

This agreement is an explicit recognition of the international community that Iraq regained the trust of the world community, particularly after the Arab Summit and coming 5+1 meeting in Baghdad on the Iranian nuclear question, as well as Iraq has become  a basic player in preserving regional security and stability.
