Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has signed a 72 million dollars-contract with Iranian company 'Sanir', IRNA reported.

The announcement said Sanir is due to construct two gas-powered units for Dibris power plant in Kirkuk in northern Iraq in order to add 320 megawatts of electricity to its capacity within 14 months.

The ministry further announced that it has signed some other contracts worth 69.8 million dollars with Farab and other Iranian companies to double the power generation capacity of Sadr power plant in Baghdad within 12 months.
