India's top engineering and construction company firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said its construction unit has won contracts to the tune of 30 billion repuees ($437 million) in the buildings and factories business, including work for a tourism-related facility from Oman.

The order from a reputed client in the sultanate will see L&T deliver mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services, structural work, architectural finishes and external development services.

Besides this, the Indian construction giant has also won orders from the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh including a mega project to set up the tallest government office building in the country.

Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the Head of Department (HoD) office buildings at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, said a statement from L&T.

The project has to its credit of being the first steel diagrid building in India, and will be built using automatic climbing formwork system (ACFS) and diagrids, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
