KUWAIT, May 1 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah on Tuesday received the General Director of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), Dr. Ali al-Shamlan, and Director of the Science Club, Ayad Al-Kharafi, accompanied by three Kuwaiti inventors who won awards at the 35th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva. Also among the group were winners in the Seoul Exhibition of Inventions.
His Highness the Amir praised the group for their efforts in the promotion of Kuwait worldwide, wishing them "success in their scientific life in the service of the homeland."
The winners in the Geneva exhibition are Thafer Jubrain Al-Osaimi who won the gold medal for his "firefighter", Abdullah Ahmad Eidan who won the gold medal for his "special air conditioning device", Dr. Tareq Abduljaleel Al-Bahri who won the silver for an "anti-virus medication", and Wafa Mehdi Al-Kazemi who won the bronze for her "natural cream".
The winners in the Seoul exhbition are Dr Fatma al Thalab who won a gold medal and a shield for the Milk Quantity measuring device for children and Dhia al Fayez who won a gold medal for her invention of an Elevator Electrical Circuit Device.
On his part, the KFAS director general Thanked HH the Amir for the generous patronage of the Kuwaiti scientists in general, which constitutes great support for them.
Amiri Diwan Indersecretary Ibrahim Shatti, Director of the Office Department of HH the Amir Ahmad al Fahad, Director of Amiri Protocols Sheikh Khalid al Abdullah al Sabah al Nasser al Sabah were present during the Amiri Reception.
