KUWAIT: Farwaniya Municipality Branch Director Ahmad Al-Hazim said that  its  departments have garnered several achievements in various fields like health, licenses, public cleanliness, food supervision and engineering in January.

Al-Hazim said that the number of violations detected by Food Supervision Department was 107in number, out of 250 stores that were inspected. He said that the number of samples sent to laboratory was 176 in all. Out of this, 147 were edible, while four samples of inedible food was destroyed. The number of samples that did not deliver any results is 29 in all.

He said that the number of stores that issued health certificates is 200, and the number of stores that satisfied the conditions total to 150. Al-Hazim said that 1,942 livestock were slaughtered in the governorate, while the meat from 30 were destroyed because they were not fit for human consumption. He said that total revenues collected by the Public Cleanliness Department was KD 6,455. The number of new licenses issued were 36 in all. Also, 33 licenses were renewed.

In other news, Municipality Director Gen Ahmad Al-Subaih said that the advancement made by people is rooted in their rulers' wisdom. He said, "as we celebrate the 51st anniversary of independence the sixth anniversary of HH the Amir's ascension to power, we stand behind HH the Amir's leadership. We also remember late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the father Amir Sheikh Saad Al-Abdallah."  Al-Subaih went on to say that the  security and safety of citizens and residents of Kuwait comes from the grace of Allah and his wise leadership.
