2011-05-06 An Algerian court sentenced former Sonatrach CEO Mohamed Meziane and interim chief Abdelhafid Feghouli to prison, following their corruption convictions in the 2010 Sonatrach scandal, Tout sur l'Algerie reported on Thursday (May 5th). During the court proceedings in Oran on Wednesday, Meziane received a two-year sentence and a half-million dinar fine. Feghouli was sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 200,000 dinars. The court halved the prison terms imposed on the former executives of the state energy company.
