BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Emirates Float Glass, a unit of Glass LSS and Dubai Investments, said Wednesday it will build a second Float Plant.
The plant will be built in Abu Dhabi's Industrial City and will have an annual capacity of 160,000 tons of glass products.
It will be DI's second investment in Float Glass manufacturing facilities, as it aims to become the Middle East's largest glass manufacturer.
"Ambitious investments in the range of AED2 billion are planned for the next four to five years under the aegis of Glass LLC to realize the envisioned growth," Khalid Kalban, DI's managing director and chief executive, said in a company statement.
Emirates Glass produces 3.7 million square meters of flat glass products a year.
