Cairo – The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Assem El-Gazzar, announced the launch of drinking water projects in 192 villages in El-Minya Governorate at a cost of EGP 1.932 billion.

The projects are part of the second phase of Hayah Karima (A Decent Life) initiative for rural development, El-Gazzar said in a statement on Sunday.

The Chairman of Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in El-Minya, Yasser Ahmed Al-Shahawy, said that these projects include extending water lines to places without access to clean water, establishing water plants, and implementing expansions of existing water plants.
