During his working visit on Saturday to the governorate of Beja, Mr. Slaheddine Malouche, Minister of Equipment, Housing and Land Planning, took cognizance of several infrastructure projects on economic, ecological, social and tourism sector.

These projects also include projects in road, bridge construction, construction of vicinal tracks and repairs of damages caused by floods.

At an estimated cost of some 58 million dinars cost, these projects aim at connecting the governorate of Beja with other northern governorates, enhance the security level at some road to link between the productive rural regions and the surrounding communities as well as to strengthen the role of this region in the development of tourism and the environment sector.

On this occasion, the minister, gave the kickoff of the rehabilitation of the first phase of some of the major roads in the region.

He also inaugurated two bridges built over "Nefza", "tetria" and"el Hammar" wadis situated on the road from Tunis to Beja.

The Minister gave the launch of the first phase of the road to  Cap Negro.

In addition, Mr. Maalouche visited the Jebel Eddis track, where he inspected damage repair work caused by 2009 floods at an estimated cost of 4.4 million dinars.
