BEIRUT: The number of passengers who have travelled through the Rafik Hariri International airport has dropped by 9.4 percent since February of last year, an official survey on the airport’s activity in February has shown. The survey also shows a decline in air traffic, a drop in export cargo of 22.07 percent, and a decrease in import cargo of 19.29 percent. However, it observed a rise in the number of passengers using the airport as a place of transit. A total of 216,000 passengers passed through the airport this February, it said. – The Daily Star
