MUSCAT -- BankMuscat (SAOG), the leading bank in the Sultanate of Oman and the pioneer bank in the AGCC to get listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), is implementing a new state-of-the-art core banking software, Temenos "T24", for its accounting and business applications.
The customer accounts migration from the existing application to T24 is taking place and will be completed in a phased manner branch wise in the next two months.
Commenting on the progress of implementation, Shamsa Al Seefi, assistant general manager, Information Technology, BankMuscat, said: "BankMuscat has always been known for its high level of customer satisfaction by providing the premium products that suit their needs with passion in delivery of enhanced customer service. Implementing this new system is an initiative to provide our customers with superior banking experience."
T24 is a specialised banking system developed for high performance and reliability on established industry standards which enables fast, efficient and effective banking services.
It is the true 24X7 online transactions processing banking software enabling the bank's users as well as customers access bank accounts at all times.
During the process of migration of the customer accounts from the existing system to T24, the account numbers will undergo a change.
But this will not affect the way how our customers transact with the bank on a day-to-day basis.
The customers can continue to use the existing cheque book, ATM/debit cards, credit cards and can avail of the online banking, phone banking facilities and customer call centre services without any change to the login ID and PIN.
More information on T24 can be had from the bank's Customer Service representative at the base branch.
