Abu Dhabi, Aug 23rd, 2009 (WAM): A number of Islamic scholars enlivened the First Ramadan seminar at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Saturday night.

The lectures were delivered in the main prayer hall after the Taraweeh prayers by the scholars specially invited by President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a practice followed since the time of late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The Ramadan lecture series programme is followed up by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Yesterday's seminar was coordinated by the First Preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Awqaf Dr. Ahmed Al Moosa.

The seminar stressed the importance of balanced preaching of religion. Quoting several verses from the Holy Quran, the scholars said that God intended the religion to be simple and easy, not a way to hardship.

The scholars also stressed that the preaching of Islam always enters into dialogue with other faiths and respects them.
