The Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday received the Deputy Premier and Minister of Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, and the director of the historical documents centre, Dr. Abahussain, and stressed the importance of keeping a record of Bahrain's contemporary and ancient history.
During a meeting at his court, the Premier called on authors and researchers to write more reference books about Bahrain's history with a focus on achievement-rich eras. Shaikh Abdullah and Abahussain presented the Premier with three manuscripts titled Bahrain's Status in Islamic History; The History of Al Khalifa Family in Bahrain and King and March.
