The Kingdom's premier international property exhibition, Bahrain International Property Exhibition 2008 (BIPEX 2008), will be formally declared open today at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre by Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, Kingdom of Bahrain.
The inaugural ceremony will be attended by a host of senior dignitaries, investors, sponsors, exhibitors and government officials. BIPEX 2008 will remain open till October 25, 2008.
Now in its fifth successful year, BIPEX is widely considered as one of the GCC region's largest property exhibitions with an attendance of over 12,000 visitors. Last year the exhibition showcased assets in excess of $38 billion.
Ithmaar Development Company (IDC), the development arm of the Bahrain-based Ithmaar banking group and Platinum Sponsor of the show, will be showcasing two of its latest developments 'Light of Bahrain' and 'Reflections of Bahrain' at BIPEX 2008.
"The launch of our two new developments 'Light of Bahrain' and 'Reflections of Bahrain', underline our confidence in and commitment to the Kingdom's real estate sector, which we feel is poised for further growth. As we begin to execute our multi billion project portfolio, we aim to positively contribute towards building the nation and pioneering unique projects to our investors that will put Bahrain firmly on the world map," said Mohammed Khalil Alsayed, Chief Executive Officer, Ithmaar Development Company.
