RIYADH - Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, chaired by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, granted $50,000 to the Muslim Public Service Network (MPSN), Summer Internship Program.

The program's objective is to provide opportunities for exemplary Muslim college students, graduate students, and young professionals to live and work in Washington, DC and to interact in positive ways with non-Muslims and nonprofit organizations involved with public service and policy development.

Moreover, to give American Muslims the experience, the knowledge, and the opportunities to help them make positive contributions to their communities and the world.

The summer program is in its 16th year with nearly 230 alumni who are networked through a very active listserv. MPSN alumni have made it possible to continue the summer program through their growing donations and continually high number of volunteer hours.

Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation - Lebanon works internationally to tackle poverty, provide rapid aid in cases of natural disasters and provide women and youth in the MENA region with economic and educational opportunities through strategic philanthropic investments in sustainable projects of the Foundation's various partner organizations.

The Foundation also reframes perceptions of Islam and the West through dialogue, programs and educational centers around the world in order to promote a greater understanding between the different faiths and world views.
