Al Rumaila Motors, part of the Zubair Automotive Group, has introduced the Zhongtong bus brand from China in Oman and has already secured a leasing agreement for 32 new vehicles from Carillion Alawi, one of Oman's top civil construction companies.
Al Rumaila officially handed over keys to the new 60-seater buses in a handover ceremony on February 29 to Zubair Automotive's leasing division in the presence of officials and executives, a press release said.
Al Rumaila general manager Mohamed Hubais said, "We are delighted to have provided this first group of Chinese-made buses from Zhongtong which will be used by Carillion Alawi to transport construction workers."
"We are aware of several competitive products from Asia and the Indian subcontinent which are operating in Oman. Our customers have been asking for new products that meet the new safety regulations in the sultanate.
"After meticulous research, we opted for Zhongtong products as they perfectly matched our requirements," said Puneet Dev of Zubair Leasing.
