Muscat: The Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources has organised marketing outlets for the sale of honey products in two malls in Muscat Governorate. The products will also be available on two electronic platforms from August 24 to 31, 2021.

"During the period from August 24 to 31, 2021, the Ministry is organising marketing outlets for the sale of honey products in two malls in the Governorate of Muscat (Muscat Grand Mall and Oman Avenues Mall) and through two electronic platforms in the same period - 'Asal Oman' and 'Al Nahaal platform'," the Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources said in a statement.

At least 55 beekeepers from different governorates of the Sultanate will participate in the outlets and display different types of honey, honey spoons and cosmetic products such as beeswax creams. These outlets aim to provide the opportunity to beekeepers to inform the public about their various honey products.

It is worth noting that the marketing outlets for Omani honey products that were organised last year by the Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in three commercial complexes and via two electronic platforms achieved positive results, as the quantity sold amounted to five tonnes of honey worth nearly OMR 70,000.
