Abu Dhabi, April 16th,2007 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi Fund for Development(ADFD) signed today a Dh 13 contract with the Abu Dhabi InternationalMedical Services Corporation for the supply and installation of medicalequipment at Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan.
Ahmed Al Mazrouei, ADFD Director General, who signed the contractwith Vasileios Avdos, CEO of the Corporation, ,, said today's contractis part of the Dh 367 milllion aid earmarked by the Government of AbuDhabi to Pakistan in 2005.
''Under the agreement, the hospital will be provided with ultra-modernmedical technology so as to meet its technical requirements,' he added.
Established in 1986 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,the hospital is one of the high reputed health facilities in Pakistan.
Vasileios Avdos, CEO of the Corporation, paid tribute to PresidentH.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the noble gesture, whichhe said, would ease suffering of Pakistani people.
The equipment, he affirmed, would be ready within the next sevenmonths.
