CAIRO, April 30 (Reuters) - Egypt cancelled a 7-year Treasury bonds sale at an auction on Sunday, data from the central bank showed.

The average yields 3-year bond average yield rose to 17.229 from 17.097 percent, it said.

The central bank and the finance ministry did not immediately say why the bond auctions were cancelled. But two bankers said most likely the bids from the banks were too high for the finance ministry to accept.
