Telecom services provider Omantel has announced the appointment of Huda Abdullah al Habsi as its first Omani woman holding the position of general manager of marketing. Huda will be heading a team responsible for the development of end-to-end corporate telecom solutions as well as market research and pricing, a press release said.
Telecom services provider Omantel has announced the appointment of Huda Abdullah al Habsi as its first Omani woman holding the position of general manager of marketing. Huda will be heading a team responsible for the development of end-to-end corporate telecom solutions as well as market research and pricing, a press release said.
Habsi brings over 16 years of experience in the telecom sector to the role and had started her career with Omantel's IT department as an IT engineer. The last position she held before her recent appointment was senior manager of product development at Omantel's Corporate Business Unit.
In her new role at Omantel, Habsi will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategies, especially in relation to Omantel's vision and mission and Omantel's technology roadmap.
Announcing the appointment, Todd Dick, vice president of Omantel Corporate Business Unit, said, "Huda has been an asset to our unit and to the company and we are glad to see her progressing in her career."
