CAIRO (Zawya Dow Jones)--Revenue from Egypt's main waterway, the Suez Canal, rose 5.5% year on year in November to $435.5 million, according to the latest data from the Suez Canal Authority.

Revenues are still down 2.7% from the $447.9 million recorded in the previous month.

The Suez Canal Authority said the canal registered a 7.6% increase in cargo traffic in November, compared with the same month in 2010, with a 5.6 million ton jump in net tonnage passing through the waterway.
