Senior Zain executives headed by Chief Executive Officer Abdul Malek Al Jaber continued their tour of the Kingdom's southern governorates this week as they visited Aqaba and met with officials from the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) and the Southern Military Command. ASEZA's Chief Commissioner Mohammad Saqer presented an overview of the authority's plan and stressed tackling social development especially in supporting education on the technical and infrastructure level. Jaber reaffirmed Zain's commitment to local community development in the south and its efforts in developing the technological infrastructure and providing up to date technological and communications services. ADC's Chief Executive Officer Shadi Al Majali praised Zain's initiative of touring southern citiesand gave a summary on the developmental stages of the company.

Jaber indicated that Zain's commitment goes beyond providing mobile communications services, to include development of the infrastructure of various institutions as well as forging strategic partnerships. The Zain delegation also met with Brigadier General Basha Awadallah Al Batoush who also praised Zain's tangible efforts through launching various developmental, educational and health-related initiatives, in addition to the special "Army offer" which Zain launched last year to serve the needs of the local security body.
