DOHA: Work on a 550-metre tower in Daffna area, being developed by Qatari Diar, has been halted temporarily for fear that the structure could affect the landing and takeoff of flights.
After inauguration of New Doha International Airport, the directions of flights from and to airport will be changed. And then the work on the Doha Convention Center and Tower will resume, Mohammad bin Ali Al Hadfah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Qatari Diar told Al Sharq. The foundation has been completed, he added.
Once finished, this will be the second largest tower in the world.
