MUSCAT: While the Sultanate of Oman is experiencing remarkable development in the transport sector which includes sea, air and land, TransOman Expo & Conference, one of the recognized event of the Transport & Logistics Sector in the GCC Region, is now effectively in its third edition.
Organised by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) with significant cooperation and endorsement from the Ministry of Transport & Communication & support from Sultan Qaboos Port, Sohar Industrial Port, Port of Salalah, Oman Shipping Company, Oman Air (Official Airlines), National Ferries Company and Oman National Transport Company, in the past years, now this years event will be divided into five major events, namely Transport, Shipping & Logistics Show (TransOman Exhibition), Logistics & Supply Chain Conference, 1st International Civil Aviation Conference, Oman Ports & Shipping Conference, and the 2nd Oman Logistics Excellence Awards
With exclusive access to more than 2000 key players in oil & gas, power, manufacturing, shipping, transport infrastructure and finance sectors, the five-in-one event dedicated to the transport, shipping and logistics sectors (TransOman) is all set to take place from October 24 to 26 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. TransOman seeks to lift the logistics discipline in Oman and maximize on its growth potential in the upcoming years.
The event will bring to light industry issues, discover the latest trends, connect and do business with various service providers in the air, road, rail, shipping, customs, cargo and logistics businesses, connecting Oman, the rest of the region and beyond.
Logistics & Supply Chain Conference
With the aim to promote Oman's potential as the next Middle East logistic hub and gateway to the world, every year the TransOman Conference brings together more than 200 leading local and international logistics and supply chain practitioners. A Conference on the country's premier logistics & supply chain under the theme of "Oman: Building a World Class Logistics & Supply Chain" will be held on October 24 at Golden Tulip Seeb. The conference attempts to allow various organizations to examine their current supply chain and logistics models in order to meet their client's demand, ensure growth and maximize the efficiency of road, air, sea and soon rail links as well.
1st International Civil Aviation Conference
Under the theme of "Oman: Gearing as the next aviation hub in region", the First International Civil Aviation Conference will be held on October 25 to highlight the emerging opportunities across the sector and to discuss the major challenges, issues and trends which will serve as a guide for both regulators and the sectors to position Oman as the next potential aviation hub in the region in the next 3-4 years.
Oman Ports & Shipping Conference
The First Shipping Ports & Logistics Conference, which will take place on October 26, aims to provide an update on the developments of Oman's maritime, ports and logistics sectors. The conference will present some of the many commercial opportunities available to regional and international based businesses and investors.
