Leading global dairy firm expands Dubai operations with new office space in Jumeirah Lakes Towers District

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 9th 2011 - After experiencing exponential growth in the Middle East, FrieslandCampina, leading Dutch dairy company producing products under key brands such as Campina, Frisian Flag, Frico and Rainbow Milk, have looked to industry experts Summertown Interiors to fulfill requirements for their new office space in Dubai that will both build on their existing presence in Dubai while additionally consolidating part of their Saudi operation.

Spanning over an entire floor in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, the completed project houses the contemporary look and feel of the company's Corporate Central Office in Holland while accommodating a number of closed offices and meeting room areas that address local requirements. In aid of creating a Headquarters in the Middle East that would reflect the company's Dutch-based corporate offices, Summertown visited the Netherlands facility to ensure the interior fit out was conducted with a consistent and uniformed approach.

Key features of the new premises include a custom made reception and specifically designed seating area with product display, all produced with tailored joinery items and each unit being completed with high gloss off-white finish that reflected the nature of FrieslandCampina's dairy business. This theme was continued throughout the workspace to create a fun, modern feel for the office with a sand-blasted glass partition that displayed a map of the world using opaque milk bottles to illustrate the company's presence in the Middle East as well as customized lighting in the pantry in the shape of milk bottles.

"One of the challenges  for Summertown with this project was to ensure a smooth transition from a number of single office units into one open plan premises for FrieslandCampina, creating space both for existing business operations while allowing for further expansion. By working closely with the client through the planning phases we were able to effectively utilize the space and successfully achieve a solution that met specified guidelines and offered something different for the new offices," said Samer Rashid, Account Manager Sales, Summertown Interiors.
