Dubai: Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) launched its website. The website has a sophisticated and modern design that carries a corporate identity.

In a statement Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEDD, said that the launch of the new website, with its new design and corporate identity, is in line with Sharjah’s ruler vision to create an effective tool of communication with the public.

He added that the website’s launch coincides with the department’s efforts to simplify processes on investors and customers through the provision of comprehensive modern and sophisticated services.

SEDD has released 63 e-services that can be reached through the department’s website and 42 applications on smartphones by the end of 2014.

Moreover, SEDD has the e-linking with 24 government entities to ease procedures, improve the quality of its services, and encourage investors to carry out their business in the Emirate which will promote Sharjah’s status and place as a destination to attract investment as well as prosperity of business, and to achieve sustainable economic development.

In a statement, SEDD said it sought through its new website to increase the number of visitors. The information is available both in Arabic and English.
