Aqar (Al Khonji Real Estate & Development) on Wednesday presented updates about its Rimal project to owners and their families at the Crowne Plaza on Wednesday. The Rimal project is a 50,000sq m building in Bausher comprising 254 apartments, two private gymnasiums, two swimming pools for children and adults, climate controlled corridors, a shopping mall area and three levels of underground parking. The building is scheduled to open for occupation in September.

Mohamed al Khonji, chairman and CEO of Al Khonji Real Estate & Development said, "We were delighted to host this celebration for individuals and their families who have bought apartments.

We will be keeping them up to date on developments at Rimal through personal contact and a quarterly newsletter to ensure they have all the latest news about the progress of construction. Rimal has proved to be a hugely successful real estate project and will be at the heart of the new downtown area of Muscat.

"The mix of highly affordable apartments has ensured that many of the homes have been bought by young Omanis looking to get their foot on the property ladder for the first time. We were overwhelmed by the positive response to this project that shows we are offering superb quality and value-for-money apartments in this development."

The owners were told that over 90 per cent of the complex excavation work for the foundation and parking facilities is complete.

At the event, the company also announced the appointment of Singapore-based interior design and landscaping company Amazing Life Interior & Design for the project.
