KUWAIT, May 24 (KUNA) -- The Society of Petroleum Engineers announced on Thursday it would organize Kuwait Petroleum Conference and Exhibition between next December 10-12 in cooperation with the Kuwait University.
The conference will be held under the patronage of Kuwait's oil minister and Chairman of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Hani Hussein.
Executive Director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers Walid Rifai told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Conference would be an opportunity for participants to network with industry professionals, adding that over the past three years, each session of the Conference had been better than its predecessor.
Rifai said that this conference is the fourth to be organized in collaboration with the Kuwait University, a matter that confirms the success of this cooperation.
He expected the upcoming conference to attract up to 800 specialists to participate in this event.
He noted that the theme of the conference this year will be the human resources and innovative technologies to meet the challenges of production from oil and gas resources, adding that the conference would also include a general executive seminar and two professional forums for senior industrialists, 16 technical lectures, more than 60 performances and a discussion of new technologies.
He reported that the topics that will be presented and discussed include techniques of drilling, completing wells, characterization of field places, production processes, operation and facilities operation and production of non-conventional resources of oil and gas. (end).
