DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Merrill Lynch said Tuesday it had appointed three new executives to its wealth management team in the Middle East to help clients increase their exposure to international investments.

The bank said, in an emailed statement, it appointed Leila Alameddine as Beirut-based market manager for the Levant region, while Shereen Ghobrial was appointed as regional sales manager based in Dubai, and Utku Balik as business strategy and initiatives execution manager, also based in Dubai.

"We are witnessing a rapidly growing interest from clients to expand the breadth of their portfolios and increase exposure to international investments," Tamer Rashad, head of Middle East Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, said in the statement.
