Beirut - Lebanese ex-premier Omar Karami praised Iran's constructive role in regional and Lebanon stability and said that Iran-Lebanon relations is a spiritual support for Lebanese government and nation for resistance against the Zionist regime plots.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran ambassador to Beirut here on Tuesday.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on Lebanon developments, Islamic Awakening and situation in Palestine.

Karami said stability and tranquility in Lebanon and unity among regional nations are big dangers for the Zionist and western regimes' plots, adding that westerners and the Zionist regime are creating sedition to prevent unity among nations of the region, so it is necessary to keep our vigilance.

Ghazanfar Roknabadi, for his part, praised constructive stances of Mr. Karami in strengthening stability and tranquility in Lebanon.

He added that Zionist regime and westerners will fail in sowing discord and their seditious plans.

He said that thanks Lord resistance is in a good situation and Islamic Awakening developments and uprising of nations in the region will create a clear future.

He noted the importance of unity among political parties and ethnic groups in Lebanon and added that Iran wants stability and national unity in Lebanon and necessity of a consolidated and sustainable confrontation against the Zionist regime conspiracies.
