BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Kuwait's Hayat Communications Co., or HayatCom, said Tuesday it has signed a $9.6 million deal with China's telecom equipment maker Huawei for maintenance works related to telecommunication towers in the Gulf Arab state.
The deal, which involves maintenance works for telecommunications towers belonging to Kuwait Telecom Co., or Viva, is a subcontract granted by Huawei as part of its overall deal with Viva. The subcontract's duration is two years, HayatCom said in a statement posted on the Kuwait bourse website.
Besides maintenance services for telecom networks, HayatCom develops telecom infrastructures and distributes telecom and electrical equipment.
