Amman - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Qutaibah Abu Qura on Tuesday discussed with the US Ambassador to Jordan Stuart Jones means of benefiting from the US expertise in the renewable energy field.

They also reviewed possibilities for Jordan to benefit from the US experience in exploiting shale oil to generate electricity as well as partnership between the public and private sectors in the energy domain as Jordan is expected to implement mega projects in this field.

The minister briefed the US ambassador on the energy sector in the Kingdom as well as investment opportunities available in this area.

The US ambassador voiced keenness to forge closer cooperation with Jordan and contribute to major projects that will be implemented by Jordan in the energy field.
