MUSCAT -- ITA is taking part in the 28th International Information Technology, Office Systems and Communications Exhibition (InfoConnect 09), which began in Kuwait yesterday. Dr Salim al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA, represented the Sultanate at the opening of the weeklong event. Team ITA joins InfoConnect for the second time this year once more, after a remarkable response last year which was based on the theme of education, to showcase the significant achievements made in the ICT sector of Oman more specifically by the ITA and the other government entities in the delivery of electronic services to the public.

This high profile event of the region is held under the theme of "Bringing commerce to Kuwait through e-services" this year.  ITA' participation this year is significantly intensive as a reflection of Oman's keen interest in joining regional ICT events such as InfoConnect of Kuwait, the Bahrain's eGovernment exhibition and the UAE's annual Gitex. Three other Omani organisations namely Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM-PEIE-TKM), Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Housing will be joining ITA at its eOman pavilion in InfoConnect 09 to explain their flagship services.
