His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has inaugurated Al Tayer Motors' largest facility in Sharjah.
His Highness the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah said that the extraordinary vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to allocate Al Roq'ah Al Hamra Area, which enjoys a strategic location, for the showrooms of accredited auto agencies in the country. In addition, the used cars market in the same area, clearly helped attract investors in the automotive industry.
After taking a tour around the showroom that costed AED 200 million, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi congratulated Al Tayer Motors on their achievement, which will undoubtedly help boost Sharjah's economy.
Present at the inauguration were Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Central Finance, Matar Humaid Al Tayer, Board Member, Al Tayer Motors; Dr. Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, Director, Al Tayer Motors; Ashok Khanna, Chief Executive Officer, Al Tayer Motors; Elena Ford, Vice-president, Global Dealer and Consumer Experience, Ford Motor Company, Jim Benintende, President, Ford Middle East and Africa; Kalyana Sivagnanam, Director - Ford Middle East and Sub Saharan Africa, Export & Growth, and Larry Prein, Managing Director, Ford Middle East as well as other top officials from the Ford Middle East regional offices.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Khanna, Chief Executive Officer, Al Tayer Motors said; "The opening of this facility, which is one of the largest in Sharjah, strengthens our commitment to the emirate, and to residents who are able to conveniently access the leading global automotive brands that we represent through this facility. It has been built to accommodate our projected requirements over the medium to long term."
Located on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, near the Tasjeel Auto Village close to Sharjah airport, the facility enables Jaguar customers to service their cars in the emirate for the first time.
A number of environmentally friendly technologies have been used for the water systems, car wash, air conditioning and lighting systems to minimize the facility's carbon footprint.
The new facility is now fully functional and customers residing in the vicinity can now schedule their service appointments with ease and convenience by calling 800 MOTORS (668677).
